Flawless Finish Philosophy Over the course of my previous career working with a local Cosmetic Surgeon, I saw several of the Doctor’s clients who suffered from pre-maturely aged and sun-damaged skin, and even some who had previously been treated for skin cancer but still would not stay out of the sun. After almost three years of working with those who needed skin rejuvenation and sometimes treatment for skin cancer, I knew that there had to be a way to help them to achieve a tan without damaging their skin. That desire is what led me to find a solution for all of us who want a tan, and to obtain one safely. I began Flawless Finish Airbrush and Esthetics in March of 2003. Since it's creation, it has been my desire to offer those (like myself) who could not or did not tan well, a safe way to get a dark and HEALTHY tan. A tan that looked natural but did not require sun exposure.
In my research I discovered what is called Airbrush Tanning. Upon this discovery, I knew there would be a large demand for this service and I decided to take the opportunity and go into business for myself so that I would be able to dedicate myself full time to skin care and beauty therapy. I traveled to Hollywood, California to take a course that would allow me to become trained by the woman who had created and developed Airbrush Tanning and Airbrush Make Up in in 1981. I took her certification class so that I could learn her techniques for various cosmetic treatments, sunless tanning applications and techniques as well as to become trained in this field as a Certified Airbrush Technician. I was the first person to offer Spray Tanning and Airbrush Make Up in Humboldt County and I am still the areas only Certified Airbrush Technician providing these services. As such, I am proud to say I am the leader in this field locally. I am also a Licensed Esthetician (skin care specialist) and work closely with our area’s leading Clinical Esthetician, Ann Pfeifer of Ann Pfeifer Skin Care. Because my goal is to offer my clients the leading beauty and skin care therapies, training is vital to me and I know that it is also as important to the consumer.
Flawless Finish offers skin care and beauty treatments with the “whole client” in mind. I wanted to offer a little bit of everything in the way of beauty therapy in the hope that my clients would find it fun and easy to enhance their appearance. I enjoy working with my clients to refine their skin, for both face and body, offering Spray Tanning for either those who don’t tan well, want to stay out of the sun, or want a quick tan for a special occasion. Not to mention, being able to offer a high end make up application like Airbrush Make up to my brides, prom girls and for those attending a special event so they can get a “flawless” look at an affordable price. I retail Jane Iredale Mineral Cosmetics, the only product line that actually mimics the look of airbrush make up for those who want to look airbrushed every day! In this profession I am available to work with my clients on proper skin care, advise them on the appropriate products for their skin type and condition, and offer various beauty treatments. I offer my clients product consultations, and make up lessons to teach new ways to apply make up for any occasion keeping each individual's facial features in mind. When it comes to make up, I can give you that Flawless and youthful look you desire without looking or feeling “made up".
Change is finally here! Advancements in Beauty Therapy that have been the secret of your favorite music artists and movie stars are now available in Humboldt County. My goal is to offer my clients the most up to date applications available in sunless tanning, skin care for face and body, and make up applications.
